NOTIS PEMBUBARAN JAWATANKUASA RUMAH KEDIAMAN SISWA (JKRKS) SESI 2025/2026 & PENGUMUMAN JKRKS SESI 2026/2027
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh dan Salam Sejahtera.
Kesatuan Mahasiswa Universiti Malaya (KMUM) ingin memaklumkan bahawa Jawatankuasa Rumah Kediaman Siswa (JKRKS) Universiti Malaya sesi 2025/2026 telah rasmi dibubarkan pada 31 Julai 2026, sekaligus menandakan berakhirnya satu sesi kepimpinan dan khidmat bakti dalam memperjuangkan kebajikan serta kepentingan warga Rumah Kediaman Siswa.
KMUM merakamkan setinggi-tinggi penghargaan dan terima kasih kepada seluruh barisan JKRKS sesi 2025/2026, khususnya Saudara Ahmad Aiman Danial Bin Abdul Khalid selaku Pengerusi dan Saudara Muhammad Iqbal Bin Mohd Asraf selaku Timbalan Pengerusi, atas segala komitmen, usaha dan khidmat yang telah dicurahkan sepanjang sesi kepimpinan.
Dalam masa yang sama, KMUM mengucapkan selamat maju jaya dan tahniah kepada barisan kepimpinan baharu JKRKS sesi 2026/2027 yang akan dipimpin oleh Saudara Muhammad Afsaruddin Rusyaidi Bin Mohd Affendi sebagai Pengerusi dan Saudara Mohamad Daniel Hakimi Bin Mohd Izan sebagai Timbalan Pengerusi.
Semoga kepimpinan baharu ini terus membawa aspirasi, kebajikan dan suara mahasiswa RKS dengan penuh amanah, integriti serta komitmen demi membina ekosistem kediaman mahasiswa yang lebih sejahtera dan inklusif.

The 2024/2025 committee dissolved, and 2025/2026 named

The handover one session before this one. Both names in it, Aiman and Iqbal, now sit on this committee as Penasihat Eksekutif.

[PEMBUBARAN & PENGUMUMAN JAWATANKUASA RUMAH KEDIAMAN SISWA (JKRKS) SESI 2024/2025 – 2025/2026]
JKRKS sesi 2024/2025 secara rasmi dibubarkan pada 30 Ogos 2025. Setinggi-tinggi penghargaan diucapkan kepada Saudari Qusandria Binti Wahyu Hidayat & Saudara Muhamad Faiz Azrin Bin Sapuwan atas kepimpinan sepanjang sesi ini.
Mulai 1 September 2025, kepimpinan JKRKS diserahkan kepada:
• Ahmad Aiman Danial Bin Abdul Khalid (Pengerusi)
• Muhammad Iqbal Bin Mohd Asraf (Timbalan Pengerusi)
KMUM akan terus memastikan kapasiti Rumah Kediaman Siswa (RKS) dimanfaatkan sepenuhnya oleh mahasiswa/i Universiti Malaya.

What KMUM has announced about living in RKS: when applications opened, when they were held back, and what was brought to the houses.

Placement applications for 2025/2026, opened

Worth reading for one line in particular: a placement runs for one academic session and then ends, for everybody, including residents already in a house. That is why there is an application every year.

[NOTIS PEMBUKAAN PERMOHONAN PENEMPATAN RUMAH KEDIAMAN SISWA (RKS) SESI AKADEMIK 2025/2026]
Dimaklumkan bahawa permohonan penempatan Rumah Kediaman Siswa (RKS) bagi Sesi Akademik 2025/2026 akan dibuka mulai 1 September 2025. Permohonan boleh dibuat melalui pautan Google Form yang akan diumumkan di Instagram rasmi KMUM.
Kontrak penempatan adalah sah untuk satu sesi akademik sahaja, termasuk bagi penghuni sedia ada. Selepas tempoh tersebut, kontrak akan tamat tanpa pengecualian.
Sebarang pertanyaan lanjut boleh diajukan kepada Unit RKS melalui saluran rasmi yang disediakan.
Pihak KMUM akan terus memastikan kebajikan mahasiswa sentiasa terpelihara, termasuk dalam urusan penempatan kediaman.

Placement applications postponed

Published two weeks before the opening above, while the contract for managing the houses was still being settled. The delays belong on the record as much as the openings do.

NOTIS PENANGGUHAN PERMOHONAN PENEMPATAN RUMAH KEDIAMAN SISWA (RKS) BAGI SESI AKADEMIK 2025/2026
Dengan segala hormatnya dimaklumkan bahawa permohonan penempatan Rumah Kediaman Siswa (RKS) bagi Sesi Akademik 2025/2026 yang dijadualkan dibuka dalam masa terdekat ini telah DITANGGUHKAN BUAT SEMENTARA WAKTU.
Penangguhan ini dibuat atas arahan pihak Pegawai Hal Ehwal Pelajar (HEP), berikutan rundingan yang sedang dijalankan bersama pihak Jabatan Harta Benda (JHB) berkaitan kontrak pengurusan unit-unit RKS.
Permohonan akan dibuka semula selepas pengesahan rasmi diterima daripada pihak berkaitan. Justeru itu, semua mahasiswa/i diminta untuk menunggu makluman selanjutnya yang akan diumumkan melalui saluran rasmi kami.
Sebarang kesulitan amat dikesali dan kerjasama anda semua amat dihargai.

Foodbank distribution at RKS

Food brought to the houses on 21 November 2023. The oldest RKS post on KMUM's account, and a reminder that the union comes to these houses for more than placement.

Pada 21 November 2023, pihak KMUM telah mengagihkan foodbank kepada mahasiswa/i di Rumah Kediaman Siswa (RKS). Melalui inisiatif ini, kami berharap agar dapat meringankan beban mahasiswa/i dalam perbelanjaan harian.

Why these are on this page

The committee applied for their seats in public, and were announced in public.

JKRKS is not appointed by the outgoing committee and it is not inherited. The call for applications went out on KMUM's own channels, anybody at Universiti Malaya could apply, applicants were screened, and the result was published under KMUM's name rather than ours. Those posts are above, in full, and so are the same two notices from earlier sessions, so the claim can be checked rather than believed.
